(More customer reviews)The OEM filter has a plastic frame and is rigidly braced. This aftermarket replacement looks more like the cardboard-framed filter you'd buy for your furnace. I hope the filter works as well as the original, and the cost-savings is only in the frame. I also hope the suction generated by the fan will not distort the filter over time.
These filters are supposed to have a one-year life. Perhaps I'll be able to give a better review in a year.Whirlpool Aftermarket Replacement 1183054 Filter
